The inspiration for this design is a popular hiking location in Wenatchee, WA., currently known as Saddle Rock.
The Wenatchi/P’squosa Indians tale of the landmark: Black Bear and Grizzly Bear are seen squaring off with one another. The two bears bickered nonstop & Coyote was tired of them arguing, so Coyote turned them into stone.
